Did not find spaces available for the Classic Inca Trail? Do not worry, we present you the walk tour through the snowy Salkantay that takes you to one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World - Machu Picchu. The Inca Trail through the Salkantay trek is one of the best adventure alternatives that will allow you to visit Machu Picchu in 5 days and 4 nights in a 73 kilometers (45.3 miles) route. Of course you should have a little more physical condition since the route is relatively longer and you could even say that the road is a bit more rugged. However, there are several points in favor of this tour of 5 Day Salkantay trek. One of them is that it is definitely an even more authentic adventure in which you will explore the remote path and climb one of the highest points of Peru: the Salkantay, to then descend through the cloud forest near the jungle region. Another point in favor of this tour is that you will not find many people compared to the other alternatives that also come to Machu Picchu. So you will travel with a small group of approximately 8 people maximum. In sum, Salkantay trek is a great adventure that will allow you to appreciate mountains of lush vegetation, streams, rivers and hot springs that will help you to relax your body after the physical effort of walking and you will not miss the opportunity to walk in the original Inca Trail. You can also feel the temperature changes during the ascents and descents of the big mountains along the Salkantay trek. You can also enjoy some snow at one of the highest points of the road, 4,650 meters / 15,200 feet above sea level. Finally, on the last day (the fifth) we will enjoy the great guided tour of Machu Picchu. Disconnect for 5 days in an adventure with a walk, a sacred snow, an exuberant nature and a wonder to conquer on the route of the Inca Trail to Salkantay. During the five days of the route we will visit landscapes that include high mountain, green pampas, fog in arid zones, a sacred snow-capped mountain, high jungle and the valley that surrounds the wonder of Machu Picchu.
