The snow-capped Salkantay (6271m) is one of the highest mountains in the Cusco region, together with the Ausangate snow-covered peak in the Vilcanota mountain range which is located further south. Difficulty of the Humantay Walk 

The one day hike in the Humantay lagoon has a medium difficulty. We leave early, at approximately 5:00 am on a sightseeing tour to Mollepata, the town that marks the beginning of the trek. The terrain is hard and with small stones. Depending on the season, the temperature can go down to the means that approach the snowy Salkantay, why it is necessary to take something of shelter as protection. Considering the difficulty of the walk, in case you need walking sticks, you can rent them with us. Remember that our professional guides have all the necessary equipment such as oxygen ball, first aid equipment, among others.



We will start this adventure going through your respective hotel to pick you up between 4:00 and 4:30 am and then travel by private transport to the town of Mollepata located in the lush valley of the Apurímac River. After a delicious breakfast that will fill us with energy we will continue our trip to Soraypampa (3900m.a.s.l) after a short break, we will begin our trek to Humantay lake located at 4200mt 13779 feet, after the ascent of 1 hour and 30 min approximately we will be able to appreciate such a wonderful place and we will return to our camp to have our lunch with beautiful panoramic views of the snowy peaks .Finally we will be transferred to the city of Cusco, and we arrive at 6:00 p.m
