Day 1 Arrive Salta
Arrive to Salta and check into your hotel, free time to explore the city.
Day 2 Tilkara - Puna & Salt Flats
Visit to Tastil Ruins, San Antonio de los Cobres, La Polvorilla through the route of the Train to the Clouds, will drive along the famous Route 40 that will take us to Salinas Grandes, start going down hill through the Cuesta del Lipan until we reach Tilcara.
Day 3 Salta - Humahuaca Andina
Today will visit El Pucara de Tilcara(pre-inca´s city), the archeological museum among others, Uquia very well known by the church that keep paints from the Cusco´s Painting School, the famous Quebrada de Humahuaca, Purmamarca by its architecture and the famous Cerro de los 7 Colores( 7 colors hill) and the town of La Quebrada.
Day 4 Salta
Today is a relaxing day, but we can take optional activities such as rafting day at the impotents canyon of Juramento´s River. Controled emotions, a great asado and a cool attention will make of this day an outdoor to remember.
Day 5 Salta
Today we have a few optional activities such as a full day horse riding, to the most pure style of Northern Gaucho, with typical meals included, visit to the one of the most important museums in Argentina to visit the famous mommies of Llullaillaco, or just walk around.
Day 6 Salta
After breakfast, we have a full trekking day where you can appreciate the best views of Lerma Valley and the Cordillera Oriental to the west. Awesome experience!
Day 7 Salta - Colors of Cafayate
Full day tour to Cafayate, famous by its wines!! Visit great rocks formations like the famous Quebrada de las Conchas, the Devil´s Throat, the Amphitheatre, the Frog, the Monk, the Castels, the Windows among others. Will visit a local vineyard and its great wines, a tobacco factory and a goat ranch where they produce cheese. On the way back to Salta will appreciate the spectacular scenery with the lights of the sunset.
Day 8 Departure
After breakfast the trip gets to the end. But it is a great time to book more adventures with us!

Day 1 Arrive Salta
Arrive to Salta and check into your hotel, free time to explore the city, home of the most braves “Gauchos” of Argentina. Walk around the city and at 6pm you have a briefing at your hotel with your tour leader, who will explain everything about your trip.
Day 2 Tilcara - Puna & Salt Flats
We cross through the traditional town of Quijano on the way to the impressive formation of the Quebrada del Toro, with a special flavoring such as a hike in the pre-inca´s city of Tastil on our way to San Antonio de los Cobres, little miner town where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, keep driving through the famous Route 40 that takes us to Salinas Grandes, awesome landscape from where you can appreciate the magnificence of La Puna. From there, we start to go down hill by the incredible Cuesta del Lipan to get at the picturesque town of Purmamarca, (Jujuy province), with its famous 7 Colors Hill, after this little town we head to Tilcara.
Day 3 Salta - Humahuaca Andina
The tour offers the possibility to get to know the wonders of La Quebrada de Humahuaca, declared by UNESCO Heritage , visiting the little towns of Purmamarca with its particular architecture and the 7 Colors Hill, Tilcara with the visit to El Pucara de Tilcara ( pre-inca´s city), the Archeological Museum among others, Uquia very well known by the church that keep paints from the Cusco´s Painting School, to reach at noon to Humahuaca, the emblematic town of the famous La Quebrada. In the late afternoon start our return to Salta.
Day 4 Salta
Today is a relaxing day with optional activities such as be ready to get wet in an exciting activity with a down river ride of class III & IV in the incredible canyon of Juramento´s River. Go to San Bernardo Hill where you will find an spectacular view of the whole city and get a coffee at the top of Salta.
Day 5 Salta
Another day of optional activities, can take a full day horse riding, to the most pure style of Northern Gaucho, with typical meals included, or visit one of the most famous museums in Argentina, Museo de Alta Montaña, where you can visit the famous mummies called “Los Niños de Llullaillaco”, 3 childrens who had been sacrificed by the Incas at the top of the Andes.
Day 6 Salta
After breakfast, get ready for a full day trekking through the Northern mountains where you can appreciate the best views of Lerma Valley located in the center of the province at an altitude of 1100 mts above sea level. You also can appreciate the Cordillera Oriental to the west with awesome scenery of its valleys and quebradas.
Day 7 Salta - Colors of Cafayate
Full day to the little town of Cafayate, famous buy its wines!! We head to the home of the tobacco until the old railway station of Alemania, to get into the incredible Qhebrada de las Conchas with its colorful and beautiful shapes on the rock that was made by mother nature and were getting different names such as the Devil´s Throat, the Amphitheatre, the Frog, the Monk, the Castels, the Windows among others. Once in Cafayate we will visit a wineyard with a guided tour and a tasting wine.
On the way we will also vitis a tobacco factory with its old and new buildings and a goat ranch where they make goat cheese.
On the way back to Salta will stop several times just to appreciate the fascinating scenery that the lights of the sunset create on the landscape.

After breakfast the trip gets to the end, but... it is a great time to book another tour with us!

Joining Instructions
Salta airport it is called Gral. Martín Miguel de Guemes and it is located at 20 minutes by taxi from the city. Internal flights to/from Salta and arrival and departure transfers are not included in the price of your tour.
If you wish, at the time of booking please inform All Territories of your flight information to book this transfer.
There is a transfer company at the airport that can take you to the hotel of your choice in the center of the city. Their counter is at the customs exit and charges about $10.
If you arrive to Salta by bus, at the exit of the bus station will find taxis, show them your voucher with your hotel details and they will take you there, that cost from $5 to $7.
Arrival Complications
We do not expect any problems, and nor should you, but if for any reason you can not commence your trip as scheduled, please contact your starting point hotel, requesting that you speak to or leave a message for your trip leader/local operator or to the emergency contact details provided in this dossier. If you are unable to get in touch with your leader/local operator, please refer to our emergency contact details. If you have pre-booked an airport transfer and have not made contact with our local operator/representative within 30 minutes of clearing customs and immigration, we recommend that you make your own way to the Starting Point Hotel, following the Joining Instructions. Please apply to your travel agent on your return for a refund of the transfer cost if this occurs.

A Couple of Rules
Illegal drugs will not be tolerated on any trips. Possessing or using drugs not only contravenes the laws of the land but also puts you at risk. Smoking marijuana and opium is a part of local culture in some parts of the world but is not acceptable for Travel Tour Group travelers. Our philosophy of travel is one of respect towards everyone we encounter, and in particular the local people who make the world the special place it is. The exploitation of prostitutes is completely contrary to this philosophy. Our group leader/local operator has the right to expel any member of the group/tour if drugs are found in their possession or they use prostitutes.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory in order to participate on any of our trips. When traveling on a trip with us, you will not be permitted to join the tour until evidence of travel insurance has been sighted by your leader or local operator, who will take note of your insurance details. When selecting a travel insurance policy we require that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency repatriation. We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. If you have credit card insurance we require proof of purchase of the trip (a receipt of credit card statement) with a credit card in your name. Contact your bank for details of their participating insurer, the level of coverage and emergency contact telephone number.
